PCOS is now called PMOS: what you need to know

Polycystic ovary syndrome has been renamed polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) to better reflect its wide metabolic and hormonal effects, especially insulin resistance. It affects an estimated 10–13% of women worldwide and is often underdiagnosed.
